Fastest Shutter Speed
Freeze Motion With Confidence in Any Lighting
Course Code: PH-QS-FRA01
Course Code: PH-QS-FRA01
Fast shutter speed photography maximizes the balance of aperture and ISO to achieve shutter speeds that capture sharp, motion-free images in any light.
If you have ever tried to photograph a moving subject only to find the image blurred, you are not alone. This course is designed to make sure that does not happen again. You' find that by concentrating on a single, narrow set of skills, results will come very quickly. It will be like removing a stopper and letting everything that was held back begin to move.
You will learn how to freeze motion with clarity whether you are indoors, outdoors, or working in low light. The process is simple, repeatable, and easy to apply in real situations. You will understand exactly why your settings work rather than relying on chance, so you can make confident adjustments on the spot and capture fast-moving moments exactly as you imagined them.
Shutter speed decides whether your subject is sharp or blurred in a photo. It also plays a big part in how your images look in bright light or dim conditions. Many photographers leave this to chance and miss shots that matter. Once you understand how to control it, you will be able to react quickly, adapt to any light, and make sure your pictures look the way you intended every time.
By the end of this course you will be able to:

No. Any camera with adjustable settings, including most DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and many advanced compacts, will work. The course focuses on teaching you how to use what you already have to its best potential.
Yes. The techniques taught apply to all major camera brands, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and others. As long as your camera allows you to adjust shutter speed or use semi-manual modes, you can benefit fully from the course. If you’re unsure about your camera’s capabilities, just let us know before booking.
You can take this course as a one-off session, a three-session series, or as monthly mentoring. The first session is 45 minutes and walks you through key techniques and how they apply to your own camera. If you choose a three-session or monthly option, shorter 30-minute follow-ups are included to review your images, answer questions, and refine your technique.
Before the first session, you’ll receive a short set of notes to familiarize yourself with the core concepts. Bring your camera to the session so we can check your settings together. No other preparation is required.
Sessions are practical and conversational. You’ll learn by applying settings on your camera in real time, with guidance to help you understand what works and why. You’ll also see how to troubleshoot common problems.
Assignments are included to help you practice what you’ve learned. If you book only a single session, you will still receive the assignments but they will not be critiqued, as there are no follow-up sessions. In the three-session series or monthly mentoring, your assignments form the basis for the next session’s review and discussion.
For individual bookings, missed sessions are still charged in full because the time is reserved exclusively for you. You can rebook at 50% of the original session fee. For group bookings, you’ll receive any notes or materials, but live review of your images may not be possible until the next scheduled session.
