We are excited to introduce our Weekly Photo Assignment Public Group on Flickr! Photographers of all levels can learn, share, and grow together in this space. We post a new weekly photo assignment (see below) designed to challenge your creativity, refine your skills, and inspire you to see the world differently.
All you need is a free Flickr account (here's why we think Flickr is the Bee's Knees for photographers).
How The Group Works:
- Everyone Welcome: You don't have to be a student of The Creative Guide courses to take part. The group is open to anyone who is a member of Flickr (which has a generous Free Plan option).
- Any Camera: From camera phones to the latest digital cameras, all are welcome!
- Include EXIF Data: Please add photos with EXIF data so we can see the camera settings. If using film, share key info like shutter speed and aperture.
- Weekly Assignments: Every Friday, a new theme or challenge is posted to inspire creativity and exploration, from landscapes to street scenes. You have all of the following week to submit your shots. We prefer new shots taken to the assignment criteria but will consider shots taken previously that precisely match the assignment.
- Share Your Work: Upload your photos to showcase your skills. The more you share, the more you learn!
- Get Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from The Creative Guide tutors and fellow members to help you grow as a photographer.
- Engage with the Community: Comment on and critique other members’ photos to learn from each other.
Benefits Of Joining Our Group
- Practice Regularly: Develop good habits and keep your skills sharp.
- Challenge Yourself: Discover new techniques by stepping out of your comfort zone.
- Learn from Others: Gain new perspectives and inspiration.
- Receive Expert Guidance: Our passionate tutors provide tips and advice to help you improve.
